What did we learn about our Indiana Hoosiers? Here are a few things we noticed.

Wow, what a game the Indiana Hoosiers played last night. Penn State came out strong just as expected. After that 9-0 run we thought our Hoosiers were in trouble. It looked like a game that could’ve gotten out of hand early. The good part is, our boys are resilient. We came away with a huge victory and one that meant a lot going forward.

For the second straight year we went into Penn State’s lions den and came away victors. We figured it would be close. That double digit lead in the second half was really nice to see. We know our young backcourt lead by Romeo Langford and Robert Phinisee can lead a comeback victory and when needed keep the foot on the pedal.

So what did we learn from the Indiana Hoosiers second Big Ten victory?

We learned who the playmakers are going to be for the remainder of the season. Two have already been mentioned in this article. So we will shift to the big man Juwan Morgan. He is everything to this unit. He balances out this team as a whole. We were so glad to see him suit up and have another big game against the Nittany Lions.

Romeo Langford flirted with surpassing his career high in a IU uniform. But ended up with just two second half points. After scoring 15 in the first half it looked as if Romeo was about to take over. The good thing about this team, we had four players in double digit scoring. Langford, Phinisee, Durham and Morgan.

That’s exactly what we need to see the rest of the season if this team wants to take the necessary steps towards making the big dance in March. We have all the weapons needed. Now it’s just time to pony up and let those horses ride to a Big Ten Championship. This Saturday the Indiana Hoosiers will host the Louisville Cardinals.

We are expecting big things out of this ball club going forward. They are gritty. They are tough and they can handle stressful game situations. All are good signs and good characteristics for tournament style of play.
