Indiana Hoosiers women’s basketball team are now 8-0. Is it time to get our hopes up?

Needless to say the Indiana Hoosiers women’s basketball team has been a bright spot for the school. With the men’s team improving to 7-2 and 2-0 in the Big Ten, it’s really nice to see the lady Hoosiers dominate their 2018 campaign. This team has been very impressive thus far and now head coach Teri Moren ranks third in wins with 90.

Moren’s 90th win was just icing on the cake. She has been very impressive as the Indiana Hoosiers basketball coach and has led her current team to some big wins this season. We also need to note that the presence of Ali Patberg and Brenna Wise has made this team seem unstoppable. Wise led the Hoosiers tonight with 22 points and 11 rebounds.

This 8-0 start could be the start of something special. After last season’s team won the WNIT we were hoping for more this season. Well we have received what we asked for and then some. College transfers Patberg and Wise have really lifted this team as a whole. The Indiana Hoosiers have now won 14 straight games dating back to last season.

Just imagine if Wise and Patberg could’ve played alongside Tyra Buss. All we can hope for is that this year’s team makes a bigger slash for Hoosier Nation and makes it to the big dance come March. That is where legends are made, and this team looks to be filled with them. If this team can continue their hot hand we could be looking at a legitimate title run in March.

Up next the Hoosiers will host Missouri State. The next three games after MSU are winnable as well. This team could be looking really impressive at 12-0 come December 28th where they will travel to Illinois for their first Big Ten game of the season.
