Trace Jackson-Davis committed to his hometown team and will begin his freshman season in 2019.

Trace Jackson-Davis is the son of former NBA player Dale Davis. He is from the Greenwood area and currently attends Center Grove High School. Jackson-Davis was the No.1 target in the Hoosier state in the 2019 class. He is 6′ 8″ and 232 pounds. Jackson-Davis is the second 2019 prospect to commit to Indiana, joining three-star guard Armaan Franklin of Indianapolis. He comes in as the No. 5 center.

Archie Miller has done a phenomenal job at keeping Hoosiers at home. After landing Romeo Langford, Robert Phinisee and Damezi Anderson, Miller has made it a point to do what Crean couldn’t. That’s keeping top talented Hoosiers at home. With Juwan Morgan leaving we need another talented big man to fill his shoes.

Jackson-Davis who played for the Indy Heat over the spring and summer, averaged 17.5 points, 8.0 rebounds and 1.9 blocks, while shooting 53.2 percent from the field. He will be a great addition to the Hoosiers next season. Langford being one who could also possibly leave for the NBA. Could leave even bigger shoes to fill. We need another great recruiting class to take over.

Miller is still in the mix to land Matthew Hurt and Keion Brooks. Archie is doing a phenomenal job thus far keeping our best players at home. Michigan State was also in the mix for Jackson-Davis. As we all know Romeo Langford almost chose Kansas. We are lucky that this generation of Hoosiers takes pride in playing at Assembly Hall. We could be looking at a bright future if Miller can continue his high class recruiting ways.

We are in a great spot this season sitting at 6-2 before having another Big Ten matchup with the Penn State Nittany Lions on Tuesday, December 4th. A game in which we should definitely win and get ready for the Louisville Cardinals on Saturday.
