Former Hoosier Victor Oladipo competed in his first all-star appearance on Sunday, finishing with seven points in 15 minutes.

After being traded from the Oklahoma City Thunder to the Indiana Pacers in an offseason blockbuster deal that saw Paul George head west, many fans were wondering what the Pacers were thinking. Some had thought that the team made a gigantic mistake in receiving Oladipo and former first-round pick Domantas Sabonis. However, fans have been treated to a treat as Oladipo has played like a legitimate star in the NBA. On Sunday, Pacers fans were able to witness him compete in his first ever all-star game.

On Saturday night, Oladipo competed in the Slam Dunk contest, hoping to do what his teammate Glenn Robinson was able to do last year, winning the whole thing. On his first attempt, Oladipo tried a double pump dunk, a dunk that took 3 attempts, and missed every attempt. On his second dunk, Victor paid homage to the latest Marvel movie, Black Panther, as the star of the movie, Chadwich Boseman handed over a Panther mask. Despite completing his second dunk, Oladipo failed to advance to the semi-finals, partially due to his inability to complete his first attempt.

The next night, as part of Team Lebron, Oladipo helped The Chosen One and the rest of his team come back from an early deficit in a stunning come from behind victory. In six tries from beyond the three-point line, he only made one. Despite losing the dunk contest the night before, he had one of the best dunks during the All-Star game, as he stole a pass leading to a fastbreak dunk.
