Thomas Bryant blocks Wisconsin’s Nigel Hayes

For any basketball fan, you want to see your players care for all 40-minutes and in the NBA all 48-minutes. Indiana was down nine with less than 30-seconds left in the game. It was clear, barring a miracle, was going to lose this game. A turnover by Indiana led to a Nigel Hayes fastbreak down the floor. Most players would have just let him have the easy bucket considering the score and situation. Thomas Bryant was having absolutely none of that.
You can see Bryant presses behind Hayes after the turnover and rejects him from pouring on the lead. NBA scouts should love the never give up mentality that Bryant has. It’s been one of the best qualities Bryant brings to a team. His pure hustle and relentlessness in any situation.
Beyond it just being a pure hustle play, he shows that he can run the floor and get back on defense in a hurry. Some of the NBA mock drafts knock Bryant for his slow footwork but he does have the ability to get up and down the floor in a hurry.
