Indiana Basketball: Thomas Bryant’s most important moments with the Hoosiers

2016 NCAA Sweet 16 vs. North Carolina

Another great moment for Thomas Bryant, playing in the NCAA Tournament in the Sweet Sixteen. The Hoosiers played the No. 1 seed North Carolina Tarheels. I like the feed from Yogi Ferrell to Thomas Bryant, Bryant coming from the top of the arch to dunk it down in traffic.
There is one thing I sort of cringe at in this highlight though. Bryant seems to enjoy hanging out around the three point line more than he should. This was another case in which he passes the ball off and sort of just watches. While I will say this was during his freshman season, he became a better perimeter shooter in his sophomore season. What I do want to highlight is that Bryant keeps his body moving towards the basket as the play develops. There have been countless times this season that you can notice Bryant observing the opportunity to crash and score.
The NBA is transforming into a three-point shooting league. Everyone can seemingly knock down the three-pointer and some teams are heavily relying on that from all their players. This could play a huge advantage to Bryant, especially if he finds himself lagging like he does in this highlight. This minor tweak doesn’t overshadow the fact that Bryant dunked on three North Carolina players and finished strong.
