Go ahead and-one-dunk vs. Northwestern
February 25, 2017

This was no doubt an important win for Indiana morally. The Hoosiers come into this game having lost seven of their last eight games including five in a row. The last time the Hoosiers saw Northwestern, they lost in Evanston by 13. The Hoosiers were down two points with less than five seconds left, James Blackmon Jr. drives and dishes to Bryant.

Bryant heads to the line and knocks down the go-ahead free throw for the lead and the win. In many ways, this was a game for Thomas Bryant to be seen as the leader. The Hoosiers lacked identity for much of the season in the leadership department and even more so when O.G. Anunoby went down. Even though Bryant was only a sophomore, he was trying to lead his team in a way that many of Tom Crean’s upperclassman were not.
