From the Courier Journal:
One of the biggest members of the Indiana Hoosiers’ recruiting class is Appleton (Wisc.) Little Chute High School offensive lineman Cody Evers. The
6-foot-4, 320-pound Evers was named first-team All-Conference and All-Region on both te offensive and defensive lines and All-State honorable mention on offense.Evers will play offensive guard at Indiana. But the best thing about Evers is that he’s not just a ‘big guy’ but looks at himself as an underrated athlete.”For a bigger guy, I move better than people expect,” Evers said. “People usually think the bigger guys are not as athletic but I am pretty athletic.”Little Chute coach Greg Enz agrees, noting Indiana fans will be surprised.”He has an incredible athletic bend to him,” Enz said. “There were plays when he was making it to the opposite side. He’s built like a hay bail.”He’s so big and such a block of marble, but he’s athletic as can be for a big guy.”Evers ranks as one of the top shot put throwers in Wisconsin.
