Troy Williams was among two former Indiana Hoosiers who participated in All-Star Weekend competitions. Williams impressed many in the D-League Dunk Contest.

We had to keep an eye out to watch for former Hoosiers this weekend as the NBA and D-League All-Star festivities took place. None of the current Hoosiers in the NBA were selected to play in the game, but the skills competitions were a different story.

Troy Williams, who went undrafted in 2016 is trying to pave his way back to the NBA. Williams has played in 24 games for the Memphis Grizzlies this season. Williams was relocated to the Grizzlies D-League affiliate, Iowa Energy, where he is averaging 19 minutes, 14.1 points per game, and 3.8 rebounds. His athletic ability is no joke and it was fitting to see him participate in the D-League Dunk Contest this weekend in New Orleans.

The dunks that Williams performed should come at no surprise to Hoosier fans. They spent three seasons watch him throw down rim-rattling dunks. Troy Williams beat out the defending champion from last season, John Jordan of the Raptors 905 to capture his first award as a professional basketball player.

Here are some of the highlights from Troy Williams awesome dunk contest.

We hope to see Troy Williams back in the NBA at some point this season. He joins his former teammate Yogi Ferrell as two of the undrafted Hoosiers last year to make appearances in the NBA this season. Ferrell signed a 10-day contract with the Mavericks and earned himself a two-year contract extension after a sizzling string of games.
