Indiana Football: Players that they are glad are gone

J.K. Dobbins

Ohio State is going to be very good again this year. They still return a Heisman frontrunner in quarterback Justin Feilds and again bring in one of the top recruiting classes in the country. They rolled through everybody not name Clemson last year and are picked by many to make the playoff again this year.

The good news for the Hoosier, though, is that J.K. Dobbins is gone. It doesn’t even matter who replaces him as Indiana and their defense are just glad Dobbins is gone.

All Dobbins did last year against the Hoosiers was run for 193 yards with a rushing and receiving touchdown. He did all of this while sitting most of the second half on the bench. Indiana wasn’t the only team that struggled to stop him, but that doesn’t make it any better for what he did to their defense.

Two years ago it wasn’t nearly as bad but he still ran for 82 yards and a touchdown. He has been a thorn in the Hoosiers side for the last three years and thankfully he left early to go the NFL draft. Dobbins was drafted in the second round by the Baltimore Ravens and everyone in the Big Ten is glad he is gone.

The Hoosiers are especially grateful after what he did to him last year. Indiana travels to Ohio State this year and having to try and contain Dobbins would have been a problem. Beating the Buckeyes on the road is going to be tough, but it will be a little bit easier with him gone.
