12. UConn

The Huskies are horrible. Simply put the Hoosiers shouldn’t have trouble winning this game. Last year Indiana took care of business in beating them 38-3 and honestly this year should be no different. The only part of this game that is difficult is they must travel for the game, but that is it. This should be a pump up the stats game and hopefully, the starters aren’t playing in the fourth quarter.

11. Ball State

The Cardinals aren’t much better, but they tend to give the Hoosiers some trouble at times. Last year Indiana only beat Ball State 34-24, but it was the first game of the year and they were still trying to find their groove. With Michael Penix Jr.back with Whop Philyor and company, this game shouldn’t be nearly as close this year.

10. Western Kentucky

The Hilltoppers did go 9-4 last year, but they didn’t beat anybody good and somehow lost to Central Arkansas. They will give the Hoosiers more of a game, but this still should be a game that they win rather easily. It won’t be a layup game like the one against UConn but one the Hoosiers have to win and should be able to.

9. Rutgers

The Scarlet Knights could be a lot better in the near future after hiring Greg Schiano to take over the program again, but this is not the year. Rutgers was awful last year as Indiana gave up only 75 total yards in the game. They won’t be that bad this year, but still a game the Hoosiers must win. They do have to travel to Rutgers and is a week before playing Michigan State, so they need to make sure they aren’t looking ahead. If they don’t they should get by the Scarlet Knights with little trouble.
