3. Strong offensive skill player depth

With an experienced wide receiver core to support the projected improved Indiana quarterback position, the passing game could be refined as fifth year receivers Nick Westbrook and Donovan Hale bring plenty of experience along with explosive juniors Whop Philyor and Ty Fryfogle.

The team’s run game will also be a focal point, as sophomore Stevie Scott III returns following a promising true freshman season where he rushed for over 1,100 yards. He will be supported by four-star running back Sampson James and sophomore Ronnie Walker Jr.

Cole Gest returns to the lineup after missing last season with an ACL injury and will be a crucial hybrid back as someone who can catch the ball out of the backfield.

In addition to the depth on the outside, Indiana returns a tenured upperclassmen offensive lineman.

This combination of veterans and depth will make the Hoosiers a threat to compete in many games so long as they avoid injuries.
