James Miller

A player that Indiana fans saw briefly last season, playing in three games before redshirting in 2018, James Miller comes back with the potential to have a big year.

Miller committed to Indiana over Florida State despite being a Florida native and won scout team player of the week on three different occasions a season ago.

At 6-foot-2, 220 pounds, Miller is almost everything you want out of a middle linebacker.

With great speed, he uses a delayed blitz on multiple occasions to dissect the play, making the perfect read. Able to hit the gaps with a great amount of firepower, he’s a hard hitter who won’t stop until the play is dead.

As a senior, Miller collected 164 tackles, 44 for loss, 11 sacks,  nine forced fumbles, three fumble recoveries and seven pass breakups. He has a tremendous knack for the ball and should be able to compete at a high level right away, especially with the redshirt year under his belt.
