Two four-star Indiana basketball targets in the 2021 class have begun to schedule official visits and a return trips to Bloomington.

With Archie Miller and the rest of the Indiana basketball staff most likely having to wait until the spring to receive news on another commitment to round out its 2020 class, most of the attention turns to 2021 prospects and the beginning of junior year official visits and more.

Caleb Furst is one of those 2021 targets that Indiana has been involved with for some time now, stemming from an offer back in October of 2018. The four-star prospect is one of the top talents in the state and the entire country, ranked No. 35 by 247Sports.

Reported yesterday, Furst will take an official visit to Michigan State (Jan 3) and Virginia (Sept 20), with unofficial visits to Ohio State, Indiana and Notre Dame.

While his Indiana unofficial visit date has yet to be set in stone, visits to Ohio State, Oct 26, and Notre Dame, Nov 2, are now set in stone.

Furst has already been on Indiana’s campus a few times but the relationship between the in-state talent and Indiana staff is continually growing.

"“We’re growing it, continually. It’s a lot easier now that they can reach out to me and text me. So, yeah, it’s just we keep building it.” Furst told Insidethehall.com back in June."

Furst has been on record stating Purdue, Indiana, and Michigan State being the three programs in contact with him the most, taking an official visit to Purdue a few weeks ago.

For the other target, Trey Kauffman, it was reported on Monday that he will also be taking a visit to Bloomington, this time however, an official visit this weekend, Sept 13.

Kaufman is the No. 30 ranked prospect in the 2021 class and the programs out in front of his recruitment along with Indiana, include Purdue, Louisville and Xavier.  Kaufman just concluded a Purdue official visit this past weekend.

Though Indiana only offered Kaufman a scholarship this summer, the relationship has been there for quite some time and this is only a step in the right direction.

Kaufman will be accompanied by five-star 2020 guard Caleb Love this weekend who will be on his official visit as well.
