Though the Indiana basketball staff has been very active amongst the 2020 class, they are prioritizing one 2021 wing.

As the last live recruiting period in June wrapped up over the weekend, there were many top prospects continuing to improve their game with the Indiana basketball staff spread out across the midwest and northeast.

One event that played host to many college coaches and top recruits was the Ridgewood Shootout in Illinois, with an Indiana target in action.

2021 wing Bryce Hopkins of Fenwick High (Oak Park, IL) continued his stellar play from the start of the summer as his recruitment starts to heat up.

Indiana has been one of the programs that has prioritized Hopkins early in his recruitment. The Hoosiers offered the 6-foot-7 forward a couple of weeks ago and have slowly amped up their recruitment of the Illinois native.

Talking with PrepHoops Scott Burgess this past weekend, Hopkins talked about which schools were recruiting him the hardest saying Illinois, Indiana, Nebraska, Wisconsin, and Northwestern were the five schools that are prioritizing him early on.

Hopkins take on Indiana.

"“Assembly Hall, the players that they’ve had like Romeo Langford, I like his game a lot,” Said Hopkins. “Archie Miller, I love him as a coach.”"

Hopkins went on to say that Indiana is one of the schools that he definitely wants to visit as his recruitment develops.

Indiana is very familiar with Hopkins’ AAU program however, which could ultimately help in his recruitment. Playing for MoKan Elite, it is the same program that produced former Indiana forward Juwan Morgan.
