Jordan Tucker, one of the nation’s top recruits, has spoken out about the Indiana Hoosiers decision to fire Tom Crean.

One of the top wishlist recruits for the Indiana Hoosiers has spoken out after the recent news of Tom Crean’s dismissal. Jordan Tucker is a four-star forward from New York and rated No. 54 on 247Sports top-100 recruits in the nation for 2017.

The highly touted prospect for the 2017 recruiting class has yet to make a firm commitment to any school. This past December, Tucker named Indiana and Villanova as the two schools he would be deciding between. In the past couple months though, it became more evident that Tucker was exploring other possibilities outside of Bloomington.

In just the past few weeks, Jordan Tucker took visits at Oregon and Georgia Tech. Tucker got the chance to see Indiana and Georgia Tech square off in the first round of the NIT and well, it did not look good for Indiana.

Tucker took to Twitter on Thursday to let fans know in a simple, not-so-straight-forward message about his recruiting process.

While this message does not indicate whether or not Tucker is steering clear of Indiana it does shine some light on his recruiting process moving forward. Tom Crean was as much a part of recruiting Tucker as he was with any of the other players who signed with Indiana for 2017. Jordan Tucker clearly would be Indiana’s top recruit for 2017 and could have an immediate impact on the Hoosiers. His presence with Indiana would also fill a clear void left if O.G. Anunoby decides to declare for the NBA Draft.

Tucker will more than likely hold out a little while longer to see who Indiana hires as their next head coach. It could also mean that the clock is ticking for the Hoosiers to make a splash if they are hoping to land Tucker for 2017. Not only does it change the dynamic for Tucker, but the other recruits who already committed to Indiana could decide to opt-out of playing in Bloomington.

Next: Tom Crean exits, will Thomas Bryant follow suit?

I cannot imagine that Tucker’s tweet means anything positive for Indiana, but who knows. If Indiana wants to keep in the fold for the highly rated recruit, they will need to make a decision about their head coaching vacancy quickly.
