Washington Redskins QB’s compete in a friendly wager before Michigan State and Indiana took the field on Saturday.

Kirk Cousins made his weekly appearance to the media at Redskins Park, but he was wearing something out of the ordinary. He was sporting a bright red Indiana Hoosiers sweatshirt after agreeing to a friendly bet between back up quarterback Nate Sudfeld.

Both QB’s played for Big Ten schools, Cousins at Michigan State and Sudfeld at Indiana. Like any other graduate or fan of the teams, they decided to make the matchup on Saturday a little bit more interesting. Ahead of the game Cousins and Sudfeld agreed to a donate to a cause or charity of the winners choice. The outcome was quite clear for people who do not follow IU on regular basis.

“We did something a little unique. I said if Michigan State wins, you’ve got to make a donation to my youth football camp back in Michigan for next summer, but if Indiana wins, I’ll give to the ministry that he supports, which is Assist International, that does a lot of work in developing countries.” Cousins said at his press conference early this week.

Nate Sudfeld took to Twitter to let Hoosiers nation know that the franchise tagged quarterback would be wearing the Indiana colors with pride this week:

“We based it on a percentage of salaries,” he said. “So Assist International is gonna get a good check.”

Kirk Cousins makes $20 million dollars this year after being franchised tagged by the Redskins. Nate Sudfeld on the other hand is making just under half a million dollars after being drafted in the 6th round of the 2016 NFL Draft.

The Hoosiers (3-1) will head to Columbus, OH to take on #2 team in the country Ohio State (4-0). Cousins may need to be careful or he might be losing more than just bets to the rookie.
