Indiana basketball’s class of 2015 target Juwan Morgan, a 6’8″ forward from Missouri, begins his official visit to Bloomington today. Morgan is a 4-star prospect ranked No. 105 in the country by Rivals.com.
Morgan would certainly be a nice addition for Indiana. While there are plenty of front court players on the roster (Hanner Mosquera-Perea, Devin Davis, Emmitt Holt, Tim Priller, Jeremiah April) none have truly proven themselves. There isn’t a guarantee any of them actually will turn out to be suitable for the long term.
If this continues to be the case, Morgan could see the floor very early in his Hoosier career. Just by taking one look at him, you can tell he can fly, move well down low and rebound.
Indiana’s competition for Morgan includes Vanderbilt, Washington and Stanford. He’s already been to Vandy and has visits scheduled for the other two schools, but per Justin Albers of AllHoosiers.com, the trip to Bloomington could be his last. Morgan said the next two visits may not happen if he feels IU is right choice.
Based on that, there is at least a chance Indiana lands its first class of 2015 recruit by the end of the weekend.
