Big Day For IU Football Recruiting

According to Peegs.com and Rivals.com, three new High School prospects have joined the IU Football Class of 2012.

This is a big day for Coach Wilson and the Hoosier staff as two of the better players in the state at one of the top High Schools in Indiana have decided to join the Hoosier squad. Here’s a quick analysis of the players who verbally committed to IU today:

Kevin Davis of Warren Central (IN), a Wide Receiver prospect: Davis is a 5’11 wideout who already shows nice route running ability and the ability to adjust to a ball while it is in the air. Check out highlight clips from him last summer here.

Jordan Wallace, also of Warren Central (IN): Wallace is a 6’1 Linebacker who has a nice sense of where to be around the line of scrimmage within the run game. He has good closing speed and can show a nasty streak. Check out this highlight reel, containing a particularly impressive sequence when Wallace pancakes a RB on his way to the Quarterback for a sack.

Mike Cotton of O’Fallon (IL): 6’3 linebacker with a (school-reported) 4.6 40 yard dash. Cotton is a big LB at 6’3 who loves to make the big hit and the big play. Check out a nice highlight video here.

Look for more on these commitments to come.
